Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
The MuslimVille Online Islamic Competition is for children aged 4 to 13. Because our participants are children, a parent or legal guardian creates the account, adds each child, and gives consent on the child's behalf. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and how you can have it deleted.
Who we are
The competition is run by MuslimVille. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect
About the parent or guardian:
- Email address, used to send your sign-in codes. We do not use passwords.
- Name and phone number. We work out your country from your phone number.
- Mailing address, used only to send prizes, trophies and certificates to winners.
About each child you add:
- Name and date of birth, used to check eligibility and place them in an age group.
- The name of their school.
- Which competitions they are registered for.
- Their entries: Quran recitation and verbal-answer recordings (video or audio), quiz answers, Ramadan Challenge daily logs, Little Sadaqa logs and donation amounts they report, and any written reflections.
- Scores and feedback from our judges.
We do not ask for a child's own email address or phone number, and children do not have their own accounts.
Recordings
Recordings are made in your browser only when you start them, and are uploaded to private cloud storage. They are not public. Only our competition judges and administrators can view them, through links that expire after a short time. We will not publish, broadcast or share a child's recording, image or voice outside the judging process unless we first ask you and you give separate permission for that specific use.
How we use this information
- To run the competition: registration, age groups, judging, scoring and prizes.
- To contact you about your account, your child's entries and any prizes.
- To keep the competition fair and secure, for example to stop duplicate or fraudulent entries.
We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use children's information for marketing.
Announcing winners
When winners are announced, we identify them only by first name, last initial, age group and country. We never publish a child's full name, date of birth, school, address or contact details. If you would rather your child not be named at all, email us and we will list them as "Anonymous".
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the competition on our behalf:
- Our hosting and database providers, which store account and entry data.
- Our cloud storage provider, which stores recordings.
- Our email provider, which delivers sign-in codes and competition messages.
- Postal or courier services, which receive a winner's name and mailing address to deliver prizes.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not share children's information with sponsors or partner organizations.
How long we keep it
We keep entries and recordings only as long as we need them to judge the competition, award prizes and handle any questions about results. After that we delete them, or keep them only in a form that does not identify your child. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and edit your children's details from your family dashboard.
- You can remove a child from your dashboard at any time.
- You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, your children's details and all their entries and recordings. Email [email protected] from the address on your account.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent means your child can no longer take part, and we will delete their entries.
Security
We protect accounts with one-time sign-in codes, keep recordings in private storage, and limit access to entries to the family that owns them and to our judges and administrators.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects how we use your child's information, we will update the date above and ask for your consent again before using it in the new way. See also our Terms of Participation.
